Akwarium Gdyńskie MIR
Description
The Gdynia aquarium is a very special kind of zoo, all the animals come from aquatic habitats, and the entire aquarium fits in a single building. Fish, amphibians and reptiles live in its 130 tonnes of water. The exhibits are split up into several themes. The Coral Reef Room shows the colourful residents of the “living rock.” Organisms from the cold depths of the oceans live in the Aquatic Animals of the World exhibit. At the Border of Water and Land you can meet animals from the where the two worlds meet, while the Amazon Room shows the natural habitat of that part of South America. Two rooms are dedicated to the Baltic Sea and the inner Bay of Puck, with the Education Room, the oldest part of the exhibition, presenting uniquely huge water turtles and more.
