Location and access
The building is located on the Main Square in Krakow. It can be reached by all tram and bus lines stopping at the Main Square. The main entrance is located at Main Square 35, and the second entrance is located at Szczepańska Street 2.
Parking + Parking spaces
A parking space for persons with disabilities is located in the paid parking zone on Szczepańska Street. Holders of an ‘N’ subscription do not incur additional charges.
Customer Service Centre/Reception
The ticket office is located on the ground floor in the main hall, in the first room on the right-hand side of the main entrance. There is an induction loop at the ticket office.
Obstacle-free route
The facility is free of architectural barriers. The upper floors can be accessed by lift, and the basement by a platform for wheelchairs. In addition, guide lines are provided in the lobby, cloakroom, museum shop and throughout the permanent exhibition.
Lift
The building has two passenger lifts and a platform for people with disabilities. Passenger lift in the part open to visitors – wing B (west), cabin dimensions 1.05 x 2.05 m; with voice announcements; buttons with Braille. Passenger lift in the part open to visitors – wing A (east), cabin dimensions 1.4 x 1.05 m; with voice announcements; buttons with Braille. Passenger lift in the administrative section – wing C, cabin dimensions 1.3 x 1.05 m; buttons with Braille alphabet. Platform for persons with disabilities at the entrance to the administrative section, operated by security staff. Platform for persons with disabilities leading to the permanent exhibition starting in the basement of the palace on floor -1 (maximum load capacity 160 kg)
Toilet
Toilets for persons with disabilities in the visitor area (wing A) are located on the ground floor and first floor. In the administrative area (wing C), they are located on level -1.
Services for the deaf
An induction loop is available at one of the ticket office counters (Visitor Service Centre). All our branches/facilities offer the possibility of visiting with an interpreter, but this must be requested in advance.
PJM/SJM interpreter
All our branches/facilities offer tours with an interpreter, but this service must be requested in advance. Additionally, Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory offers tours in Polish Sign Language. The tours are conducted by a deaf person certified as a guide by the Museum of Krakow.
Assistance dogs
We welcome people with disabilities and their assistance dogs to all our branches/facilities.
Room/place/corner for children
A baby changing table is located on the first floor of wing A (east), the entrance is in the permanent exhibition area, near the Fountain Room.
Wi-Fi
Available in wing B, near the Copper Room on the first floor.
Other
The facility is equipped with a defibrillator – mounted on the wall near the lift in the main hall.
