Location and access
The building is located on the Main Square in Krakow. It can be reached by all tram and bus lines stopping in the vicinity. The main entrance is located at Rynek Główny 35, and the side entrance at ul. Szczepańska 2.
Parking & Parking spaces
A parking space for persons with disabilities is located in the paid parking zone on Szczepańska Street. Visitors with a valid disabled parking permit park for free.
Customer Service Centre/Reception
The ticket office is located on the ground floor, in the main hall. It is the first room on the right after entering through the main entrance. An induction loop is available at the ticket office.
Barrier-free route
The building is accessible and free of architectural barriers. The upper floors can be reached by lift, and the basement by a wheelchair platform. Guide paths are provided in the lobby, cloakroom, museum shop, and throughout the permanent exhibition.
Lift
The building has three passenger lifts and wheelchair platforms.
A passenger lift in the visitor area, wing B west, has a cabin measuring 1.05 × 2.05 m. It has voice announcements and buttons with Braille markings.
A passenger lift in the visitor area, wing A east, has a cabin measuring 1.40 × 1.05 m. It has voice announcements and buttons with Braille markings.
A passenger lift in the administrative section, wing C, has a cabin measuring 1.30 × 1.05 m. It is fitted with buttons with Braille markings.
A wheelchair platform is available at the entrance to the administrative section. It is operated by security staff.
Another wheelchair platform leads to the start of the permanent exhibition on level -1 in the palace basement. The maximum load is 160 kg / 350 lb.
Toilet
Accessible toilets: visitor area, wing A – on the ground floor and first floor; administrative area, wing C – on level -1.
Service for deaf visitors (PJM/SJM interpretation)
An induction loop is available at the ticket office.
The Museum of Kraków offers guided tours with a Polish Sign Language (PJM/SJM) interpreter at all its branches. Please book this service in advance.
Assistance dogs
In all its branches, the Museum of Kraków welcomes people with disabilities accompanied by assistance dogs.
Children’s corner / Family area
A baby changing table is located on the first floor of wing A east. It can be accessed from the permanent exhibition area, near the Baltazar Fontana Room.
Wi-Fi
Available in wing B, near the Copper Room (Sala Miedziana) on the first floor.
Other
A defibrillator is available in the main hall, mounted on the wall near the lift.
